C.U.B.B. - Modular

The C.U.B.B.  - Modular is designed for the individual that wants to add freedom of motion and resistance in rotation to their complete upper body workout.  

The C.U.B.B. has been designed with rotating handles and the ability to incorporate resistance bands during rotation.  This patented concept is not only more ergonomic, but adds resistance during pronation and supination movements.  The advantages of doing this are detailed on the Clinical Research portion of the website:

The CUBB - Modular incorporates quick change locking collars on both sides of the handle bearing sets, which allows the user to customize their bar.  The C.U.B.B. Modular has many different configurations depending on the attachments used creating the most versatile product on the market. 

Cable Machine – By removing the Olympic plate bars and attaching the middle cable attachment, the C.U.B.B. Modular becomes a cable machine device.  As a cable device, the user is able to perform exercises such as curls, tricep pushdowns, rows, lat-pulls, etc.

Non-Rackable Barbell – Attach the 8 inch long dynamically rotating Olympic weight sleeves and the C.U.B.B. Modular becomes the perfect barbell for curls, Arnold press, back rows, push-ups, tricep extensions, and more.

Rackable Barbell – Add the Optional Bench Press Extensions and/or larger middle bar to your C.U.B.B. Modular and it becomes rackable for Close Grip Bench Press or Wide Grip Bench Press. 

Dual Cable Machine or Outer Resistance Band Exercises – The Optional Outer Band/Cable Attachment allows the user to not only use resistance bands, but to connect the C.U.B.B. Modular to a dual cable machine on the outside.  Additionally, the C.U.B.B. can be attached to one side allowing resistance from the band/cable in swinging exercises such as those used in baseball, golf, cricket etc. 

Custom Bar – Quick Change Middle Bars can be ordered separately from the store (C.U.B.B. Modular – Extended Middle Bar) at lengths of 17.5” – 25” in half inch increments.  You can buy the custom middle bar to fit your frame, or modify the exercise to target different muscle groups. 

The CUBB - Modular comes standard with a middle bar that creates a 17" on center grip position. Included with the purchase are two 8" long, loadable Olympic sleeves, dynamically rotating on IGUS bearings, two rotational resistance bands (light and medium strength), orientation stud protective caps, and cable machine attachment.

The C.U.B.B. is manufactured and assembled in the USA and is rated for a load of 315 lbs.  The Housing and Handle that make up the bearing set are 380 aluminum which has been Type III hard anodized to provide a protective surface for the bearing set.  The bearing set is machined to tight tolerances using diamond tooling to provide a smooth bearing surface.  The bearings used in the housing are IGUS iglide self-lubricating bearings which are made for industrial applications such as automotive wheel hubs and robots.  Through the use of these components and manufacturing process, the bearing set is not only smooth and quiet, but designed to last. 

The Middle Bar, Plate Bars, and other components are all carbon steel with a high tensile strength which has a black oxide coating applied after machining.  The Olympic plate bar sleeves are dynamically rotating incorporating two IGUS self-lubricating bearings.

The green pivot pins are purposely designed out of a high durometer plastic that dynamically rotates with the elastic bands as they stretch.  Using plastic instead of steel limits the natural degradation that all resistance bands develop over time. 

The C.U.B.B. Modular weights the following based on its configuration and attachments:

Cable Attachment (17” on Center Grip Width):  approximately 22.5lbs

Non-Rackable Barbell (17” on Center Grip Width):  approximately 39lbs

Rackable Barbell (17” on Center Grip Width):  approximately 46lbs

Rackable Wide Grip Barbell (25” on Center Grip Width):  approximately 50lbs
